Would be a mistake like dwight going to the rockets when he could have possibly won a ring with dame, Wes, nic, and LA...Lots claimed we had the best s5 with rolo, imagine if we had Dwight that year we played Houston.

I actually want it to happen just for the sheer spectacle of it. 4 All-NBA guys on one team might be enough ego to create a black hole.

I'm not sure if this article references it, but there's a NY Daily News article saying that Durant would prefer the Warriors if he leaves OKC.

KD seems like a reasonably self-aware person, and I think he must realize that it would would make him look like a gigantic pussy to join the front-running team that just stole a playoff series victory from you after you were up 3-1 to them. He'd never hear the end of it. Warriors would have to renounce a lot of guys just to be in the conversation anyways.

Durant instead of Barnes would make them ridiculously tough. That is a lot of stars and starts get calls which makes them even tougher to beat. That would make it very difficult to Portland to close that gap especially when they have so little defense.

Be truthful. That would be a lot of talent which would make it tough to beat them. They didn't get a preponderance of calls in the playoffs and the whole moving screen no call issue is not just for the warriors.

On paper, assuming it would be possible to get him and keep the core important starters, they would be the prohibitive favorites. The jump up in production from Barnes to Durant is over 9000!¡!

But if I were KD I would dance with them what brung ya. Oklahoma is not my ideal state to live, but it doesn't seem to be a problem for KD, so I could certainly see him staying and trying to make up for the meltdown this year and live the dream of leading the team that drafted you to the promised land ala King James.

See that, guys? I like the bible just fine!

If our main rival can draw one of the biggest players in the game while we are talking about maaaaaybe getting a low post player..... we might as well take up cricket. I still think he stays in OKC or goes to Boston.

Trade Dame and CJ for future unprotected picks.

I assume his ego is bigger then this. Would his ring won with Curry, Thompson & Co have the same value in the public opinion? I don't think so.

Not that I've seen it discussed anywhere, but could you imagine if Durant went to Minnesota? With their Rubio/Lavine/Muhammad/Wiggins/Dieng/Towns core, and Thibs as a coach, Durant added to that team would be an immediate contender. And if he were to win a title with that group it would absolutely be considered "legitimate" considering what that franchise has been historically.

if Durant went to the Warriors, what's the point in having all of the other western teams play? might as well just make them the WCF champions. Durant going to the Warriors would be the dumbest thing that the NBA has allowed........ever.......

I don't think the NBA has any control over whether or not he signs with Golden State.

Sure they do. They can just cut it out of the script for next season.

    WTF?

The NBA doesn't have to allow it. It's perfectly within the rules that he go there. You know what......stop bitching and get better. Stop adding role players and start figuring out a way to either draft better so you have assets to trade for stars (I'm looking directly at you, Neil. Stop using lottery picks on American born white centers) or have your stars go out and recruit guys.
