LeBron's Nike Deal To Double In New York, Chicago Or Los Angeles 20th May, 2006 - 8:39 am Detroit News - Rob Parker of the Detroit News reports that if LeBron James does not re-sign an extension with the Cavaliers this summer, he will leave the club and sign with the Nets after the 2008 season. James' $100 million deal with Nike doubles if he plays in Chicago, L.A. or New York. Cleveland papers reported earlier in the week that the chances of James signing an extension this summer have increased because of the Cavaliers' strong playoff performance. [READ] Wow, this knocked me out of my chair.
I highly doubt LeBron will leave Cleveland, the way hes playing there bound to surround him with better talent to go farther in the playoffs. The chances of him playing in any of those cities is very low.Woah though, double the deal if he just plays there!
It is from RealGM BTW. Might want to say that. Anyways, he will stay wit hthe Cavs. No doubt about that one.
He'll will stay in Cleveland where he belongs. Where he will continue to be overhyped and get every call he desires.
I think he might leave. I just don't like his team with Z, Hughes, and Snow. The players don't seem to fit to me. No player is rising other than Lebron, and two years from now he will be demanding a trade due to lack of talent surrounding him. I think they will get around the 20-25 pick area in the draft, meaning no new talent. The FA could do somethin, but what i noticed was that no one other than Hughes wants to play with Lebron. I'm 50-50, not to sure. He loves CLeveland but also might think about the money.
Lebron James wouldnt be the type of person to do that. Besides look at alll the great players. They are the guys who played with 1 team for bascially their whole career. Lebron doesnt need any more money. He will stay in Cleveland, it's his home town and it's where he estblished himself. It would look bad if he jumped train.
Lebron's not leaving Cleveland any time soon. The organization will do everything humanly possible to surround him with talent and to make him happy.
Oh wow thats ALOT OF MONEY.I really don't think LeBron is going to leave the Cavs though, he's got enough money as of now. I hope he stays with the Cavs for a couple more years, I don't want another Team for Life member though like KG.
I doubt LeBron will leave Cleveland. Why would he anyways? He has all the fans in the world there in Cleveland. He makes a lot of money as it is, and he grew up in Ohio, so the chances of him leaving in my persepective is 0%.
The Nets will likely still be over the cap in the summer of 2008 but even if he signs for the mid level exception, he's gonna get that Nike contract of his doubled so he will be looking at making over 200 million dollars. Plus the 30 million he'll be getting from the Nets along with other various endorsements, wow, that's a lot of money to pass up. He has a tight relationship with Jay Z (part owner of the Nets) and combine LeBron and Richard Jefferson, you could have the next MJ-Pippen combination (RJ is a stat sheet filler just like Pippen was and will gladly take a backseat if it means winning)Just something to think about it, not saying it's gonna happen but just think about it<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (AirBlaze @ May 21 2006, 03:05 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I doubt LeBron will leave Cleveland. Rich people, especially athletes, are never complacent with their wealth
A lot of players sacrifice money to play in a place they want to play in. Or a place they love and have lots of fans and opportunities in.
he isn't leaving. only when pigs fly will he leave. they could give him all the money in the world, i still don't see him going. (unless they start losing)

That would be shocking if that happened... I'd like to see him on another team, just to see how he would fare, but I know LeBron fans don't want to see him leave. Will he do it? Nike tells him to just do it? (very corny joke). But I dont think he will.. unless he is one of those money hungry people which I dont think he is. He makes a ton as is
i think, IF he doesn't re-sign, Orlando is his next option. They have a crap load of money to spend, and he'd get a championship w/ Dwight Howard. Plus, i would think they would express the most interest in him.
Dogma.Smart thinking. That would be a very nice combo. Would be the best they have had since when they had Shaq Daddy.
