Just saw a Marchand Article posted to ESPN claiming that the Yankees Manager list has two finalists, Muellens and Boone. Allegedly Thompson will be the Phillies Bench Coach and Beltran has been informed he's not getting the job. Don't know how you folks feel about this but I'd say between the two finalists Boone will end up the winner. In any case many who knocked Girardi at every opportunity will be wishing he was back. I am not warm and fuzzy about this at all.
...yeah, Lil mentioned this in another thread...I couldn't believe it...I mean will someone please explain to me how either of these guys are an upgrade over Girardi?
...I hope we won't be using the phrase "Aaron-fucking-Boone" in a derogatory way next year...I hope we don't end up regretting this move. ...the Yanx came within 1 game of being in the WS and were narrowly beaten by the best team in the game as it turned out...so even in his first year, if Boone cannot steer the Yanx to the WS he will be seen as a failure.
