then I don't know what will. How do you play a 4-guard line-up and slow the game down!? If you're going with 4 guards (3PGs and SG) then you better run the ball and get up and down the floor. There is absolutely no way 4 guards will win in a slow paced, half court game.

Nate is being put in a tough situation. He really only had 7 competent players, and then Cunningham (who I do like) and Howard (past his prime). You can only do so much with it. I thought he coached a pretty good first half, but I've seen better second halfs from him.

Oh well. Life goes on. Good thing we only have to wait a couple hours 'til the next game to forget about this one.

I missed the game, but looking at the boxscore I couldn't believe we only got 7 total assists!

I agree with OneSport3. Yes, Nate is in a tough spot, but playing a 4 guard lineup was well over the top- even for a coach who struggles with player rotations.

To me, it was a major screw up.

Get the fuck outa' here with this shit! You do realize that this team only has five players that are supposed to be in the rotation. You do realize this right? We have 4 of our key players hurt. Please tell me you have been out of this country with NO internet before you started this ass-face of a thread! Go away!

Big deal. I come from a Mexican high school in California. That's nothing. As long as he didn't call him a puto.

If anyone ever calls you a puto, you gotta stand up for yourself or you'll find out what a major loss in reputation is.

I never did figure out what it means, but from watching the Mexicans, I know you can't ignore it. I used to ask them what it means, and they didn't know either. But you have to fight over it.

Well, "upgrade" Andre Miller did have a whopping 1 assist compared to 4 TOs in 33 minutes.

Can the Blazers actually just release him before he kills all of his trade value?

    Hello darkness, my old friend
That fails to make sense. If you are concerned about his "trade value," which is generally relevant to trading the player, how would releasing him help? Do you get "saved Andre Miller trade value" to put in the bank and apply towards trading a different player? ;)

    Beat that horse...

I'm don't disagree Miller has been less than impressive, but I'm guessing we've had a lot more success with Miller starting this year than Blake.

That's great for you HCP. You just demonstrated your class without me having to do anything. Let me ask you a question. How is it that Rick Adelman can maximize the talent he has on both the offensive and defensive ends after losing his 2 superstars? Even with all the injuries we have, we're still in a better spot than the Rockets are. Imagine if Roy and Aldridge were gone. This team would be in shambles with Nate at the helm.

It's basketball 101 that if you're going to go small with 4 guards, then you better push the tempo or you are absolutely going to get hammered. There is no chance that a 4 guard lineup playing a slow tempo game will beat any team, especially a team with Dwight Howard in the middle.

I'm sure the Blazers are so proud of you representing them with class on a Blazers fan forum.

Man, why blow him up so badly for merely pointing out a truth.

I agree with OneSport3, McMillan sucked tonight, it was plain to see by anyone with BBall IQ.

OneSport3 is right. If you are stuck playing a 4 guard lineup, it simply cannot be walk-it-up half court basketball.
