I just realized what a great move it was by Billy Knight to do the Shareef Abdur-Rahim trade. Look at where he is now, and look at where the Grizzlies are now. Lorenzen is our starting Center, Pau is our franchise player, and Knight turned into Outlaw.

This is what our current ten-deep lineup would look like -

    C - Stromile Swift/Robert Archibald
    PF - Shareef Abdur-Rahim/Ryan Humphrey
    SF - James Posey/Shane Battier
    SG - Mike Miller/Bonzi Wells
    PG - Jason Williams/Earl Watson

    So here's the question...

If we still had Shareef Abdur-Rahim, would we have made the playoffs?

Probably would've made the playoffs, that does sound like a talented line-up.

Lol, when i first saw the header of the topic, i thought that it said "IF WE STILL HAD SARS..."

IMO we wouldnt have made the playoffs, our second unit won us lots of games last season, and Ren and Outlaw contributions were definetly decisives. And don't forget swift performs better coming off the bench.

Shareef, even though he was my favourite player for years, and I still love him, is broken.
    Dude's head isn't right.

And no, I don't think they'd make the playoffs with that line up.
Reason being that the Portland Trailblazers missed the playoffs for the first time in 24(?) years this season, the first with Shareef Abdur-Rahim on their roster. Coincidence?

He's cursed. He'll never play on a winning team. I'd bet on that.
