Assume the exact same money regardless of sport or position. If you could play any professional sport and be one of the best, what sport, what position? What team (Blazers are off limits, too easy)?
IPL Cricket. Low impact sport, shortest season (3 months), and you could pretty much go anywhere outside of South Asia and not be bothered. Guess this question says something about your personality.
Even though basketball is my favorite sport I would be fighting in the UFC or playing right wing for the Vancouver Canucks.
Exact same money is impossible. Football players make less. Baseball players make stupid money. Are we assuming no major injuries? I'd probably be a pitcher for the Braves. It's just you out on the mound. You against a batter. What other sport has that? I'm not even a huge baseball fan, but if I could bring the heat, I would be a pitcher. They make bank. QB's have to worry about getting hit by guys like Suh. Fuck that. NBA would be fun... but I'm a white guy.
NBA point guard, no question. NHL looks incredibly fun, but I've never played hockey for real so I dunno what I would be getting myself into.
I'd be Brian Cardinal. Make a lot of money and ride the bench at the end of your career. I love playing basketball, but I love watching it even more. I guess I'd rather just be rich and have coutside seats or a really nice TV setup.
My uncle was a middle reliever and made plenty of bank, had a long career, and would only come in for an inning or two. Sometimes even come in just to face a batter. Hang out down in the bullpen pulling pranks on the homeboyz the rest of the time. Sounds like the life to me.
