You should be able to pick who you play. 2nd seed picks from who's left. And ETC.Then come 2nd round it happens again and the teams get to pick.1. I know this will never happen. 2. Why won't this ever happen? This will actually reward the #1 seed like they should be rewarded for a long ass season. It will give the regular season a little more importance...especially to either getting the #2, 3 or 4 seeds. Now tell me why I'm an idiot.
This messes with the other seeds who are also playing for a higher spot. So your basically awarding 1 team over 8. And in a situation where the 1st seed would most likely play the 8th seed. And it's not like the 1st seed isn't awarded. They have homecourt advantage through the playoffs and are playing the worst team seeded.

Not only that, the first seed gets to the conference finals an incredible 95% of the time. Clearly they're being rewarded. Why do you have a problem with their being an upset every 15 years?
No real need for it....The first seed ussually wins this series anyways. A #1 seed should beat a #8 seed no matter what the circumstances...
I thought this was going to be another topic about the draft.I think it would be a good idea if the #1 seed got to pick who gets the first pick in the draft out of all the lottery teams.
