I am an avid GoW player, loved the single player mode, and on xbox live, Gow really shines. I guess thats why i'm so disappointed with Lost Planet. The controls are awful. Its pretty standard, Left anologe stick controls movement, while right stick controls aim....only one problem, your character moves and aims slowly, and rather than remaining fixed in the center of the screen like most shooters, the targeting reticule moves around independent of the camera. It is really cumbersome. Aside from that, each stage consists of walkin around, shooting small enemies (you only need a machine gun, any other gun is overkill) then a boss at the end. Repeat. The online game was a disaster. Its like starwars for the original xbox. The first 15 minutes I didn't know what the hell was going on. Explosions, grappling hooks, snipers, it would all be good if you could get a sense WHERE ITS HAPPENING. I have never yawned so much in a supposed 8v8 battle. Rent first, purchase used copy at best.
