Think about one day waking up as the Nets GM,..........(dont kill yourself yet) What off-season moves would u make? Include all criterias.. E.G: a move can be, FIRE coach FRANK replace With XXXXXX Talk about all the free agent moves, personale moves etc.. REMEMBER THIS POST IS JUST MERE SPECULATION/ MUCH OF A PERSONAL PREFERENCE THING.
trade rj and swift, first round picks for brand. trade marcus for jarret jack or bellinelli., krstic for QO. sign azuibuike. try and package hassel for anything. resign boki for the vets min, cant resign diop, not enough PT. IDK just the rough idea devin/ vc/bellinelli azuibuike/boki brand/sean boone/krstic
Try to move either carter or rj for future cap space (lebron) preferrebly move vince and his HUGE contract. Then regardless if we make the playoffs or not fire Frank, and offer the job to Larry Brown who is looking to come back to the NBA. The players that shoud stay from our current roster are ( my opinion ) D Harris, M Williams, Agger,Boki, RJ, Swat, Boone, Diop. Then i would take a good SG swingman with our first and second pick because we are loaded with Bigs, and in case we get Dallas pick then take a promising Big. so first pick for the nets a swing player, then with Mavs pick a big man, and with our 2nd round pick another swing playa. Thats a start i think...

We need shooters, shooters and more shooters. Maybe we can get Stephen Curry, or Douglass-Roberts. Or try to pry away a guy like James Jones from Portland or even Redick from Orlando, or Salim Stoudemire from Atlanta. Or take a flyer on Gerald Green. Any of those guys would help. And of course anyone with anything resembling a post game would be nice. If they have 2 picks and don't trade 1, with the second pick they need to try to find this year's version of Craig Smith or Big Baby. An earth-mover who just bulldozes dudes.

im pretty sure stephen curry isn't going to declare for this years draft. i wish there was a way to pry away elton brand... but it seems like the clippers have someone at every position besides PG... and i don't wanna give harris away. Possibly marcus rj and 2 picks in a sign and trade? I think a post up big man and a shooter are our first priorities. i wanna re-visit the mike miller deal. I think we can pry him away from memphis with our assets. If we were to just go with the draft we need shooters, a backup shooter that can play defense. we need someone other than trenton hassell coming in for vince / rj that can play D. We are giving up too many points. We already have too many developing big men... adding anymore will just hurt the playing time on our 4 and 5 positions and would just give less time for them to develop. If we do get a big man, the big man should be an established postup player via trade / free agency. Every good team has a dominating big man that can score on his own.

No. Dont trade sean or rj. The clips are rebuilding which means they will want picks IF they want to deal brand. thats why cassel isnt there anymore. and why rj? they have thorton at sf who is younger and better in my opinion. They will want expiring contracts, picks and cash.
First of all, it's too early for this exercise...since you don't yet know the value of the picks...or how many you will have. If the Nets make the playoffs and Mavs don't, you get #15 and #45. If the Nets miss the playoffs and the Mavs squeak in, you could get as high as #10, #18 and #40...with the chance of moving up in the lottery with the #10 on May 20. If both teams miss the playoffs, you could wind up with #10 and #40 with a chance to move up in the lottery with the #10. Historically, the Nets try to trade up when they have multiple picks, even a first and a second. Assume the Nets get #10 and #18, they might be able to move up by offering #10, #18 and the 2010 Mavs' unprotected first round pick. They tried to move up in 2006 by offering #22 and #23 to the Sonics for the #10. It almost worked. Luckily, it didn't. They were considering Hilton Armstrong and Saer Sene...according to Filip Bondy's book, "Tip Off". Most likely scenario is they wind up with something like #11, #19 and #41. I believe they will use one of those picks on a Euro who they will stash overseas for a year. Barring significant changes in that scenario, take a lights out shooter (Rush) with one pick, a Euro (Claver or Ibaka?) with another and best player available. Encourage Swift to leave or even buy him out. Depending on what Krstic does the rest of way, offer him either a four-year deal starting just above MLE level with a team option after two or the qualifying offer. Offer Diop a three year deal starting at $4 million. Be prepared to go higher or longer. Watch Cuban make a bid. Offer Nachbar no more than a three year deal starting at $3 million...maybe less. Wait to see what Brand and O'Neal do with their options. Both are damaged goods right now and I am not sure whether they will opt out. Neither will have any record this year on which to base a new contract, so it might be smart of them not to opt out. I am told reliably Brand WILL opt out. No one believes O'Neal will, but if he wants to move this summer, opting out might be the smartest way to go. Both those guys have to be looking for job security long term after their injuries. Be prepared to offer either or both Williams in packages for them or other big scoring men, whoever they may be. Offer the full MLE or close to it to Sasha Vujacic. Let the Lakers match. Rather than use the vets minimum, MLE, LLE or TE's on aging vets, take a chance on a young guy.
I liked everything, and agreed with everything, up until I got to this: <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (NetIncome)</div><div class='quotemain'>Offer the full MLE or close to it to Sasha Vujacic. Let the Lakers match.</div> Sasha's worse than Boki, at everything. I'd hope to god the Lakers match, because Sasha doesn't even deserve half the MLE. We'd be better off offering it up to someone like James Jones, Keith Bogans, Childress, Azuibuke, Barnes...someone who's actually good, and who actually attempts to play good defense.

I don't know where you're getting the idea that Bogans can't shoot, either. He is, in fact, a very good shooter. I'd take him any day over the chucker/4-14 wonder Vujacic. Bogans is definitely the better overall player.
