Herremans signed the extension Saturday, which is the NFL deadline for teams to sign players to new contracts and be able to allocate remaining 2006 salary cap space to do so.</div>For More - http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2714373
Our offensive line is going to be a key part of our success in the future years. They're all young with tremendous potential.
Going to be interesting to see how they use him in the future. It all rests on the shoulders of Winston Justice and Max Jean-Gilles. Should Jean-Gilles prove to be a complete bust, Herremans would be our only option at LG. However, you would think we extended him to be a tackle of the future, especially after seeing him play at left tackle for most of the game against Atlanta. Then, you have Winston Justice, who is also looking to be a tackle of the future. Sure, he and Herremans can take different sides, but then in comes Shawn Andrews. Again, it looks like we extended him to be a tackle of the future and he too played tackle against Atlanta, but again, we we have no options at RG behind him (maybe Scott Young..).So once Thomas and Runyan move on, as soon as a year or two, you have Winston Justice/Max Jean-Gilles/Todd Herremans/Shawn Andrews all looking to settle into their pro positions. We know Herremans and Andrews would be there, and you would hope Justice settles in aswell since he was a second round pick. Best case scenario has Herremans at LT, Jean-Gilles at LG, Andrews at RG, and Justice at RT. And there are a whole bunch of great solutions should that not work out. Talk about flexibility.

That's exactly what I'm saying..We have three young guys who can potentially step in and play offensive tackle. Teams would kill for one.
