GSW just landed Andre Iguodala, 29, for $48-million over four seasons. The Kings reportedly offered him $56-million. Iguodala opted out of a contract that would've paid him about $16-million this season.

Rudy Gay has a $19-million contract option next season. He will be turning 28. In the event that LeBron James & Co. don't opt out, which seems the most likely scenario, Gay becomes perhaps the top small forward free agent next summer should he opt-out of his deal. Opting out of a $19-million contract and signing a $50-million contract makes sense, right? Especially to one of the teams hoping that other free agents opt out and don't, leaving them with cap space and fewer options.

Depending on what Toronto wants to do with Kyle Lowry the team could be looking at significant cap space.
