<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Coach Paul Silas has been so disappointed in Zydrunas Ilgauskas' lack of defense that Ilgauskas often spends the fourth quarter on the bench. "[Owner] Gordon Gund and [General Manager] Jim Paxson have been great to me and supportive of all the things I've been through. No matter what happens, those two guys, since they've been here since the beginning with me, I'll always have the most respect. I agree with Silas in some respects. point blank defense wins games. and in the east big man are hard to come by. So unless Silas can get a blockbuster trade with this injury prone big man. Then I think he better look at hiring a defensive man to work with Ilgauskas.

He's just having abit of an off time, he should just do what KG does and raise his arms, either that or keep doing the side arm, rise arm switching defense, he's tall enough and has long enough arms to disrupt the shooter. If only he were like Sabonis....
I also heard that Z might go to the Rapters, they need a center bad and thay have been talking to the Cavs for a while. In return the Cavs might get Morris Peterson and someone else.Has any one else heard this?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Startellis:</div><div class="quote_post">Then I think he better look at hiring a defensive man to work with Ilgauskas.</div> And what exactly is Paul Silas may I ask? A point man? haha <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Magic Johnson:</div><div class="quote_post">Yeah but the guy's trying hard man, he had so many foot problems. The problem with Z is the speed of the game, sometimes it's too fast for him, that is why a lot of otehr coaches go to smaller lineups during the game to try and get Silas to take him out. The Cavs don't give him enough space to operate either, Z can take anybody one on one, something they don't take advantage of enough. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting bobac74:</div><div class="quote_post">I also heard that Z might go to the Rapters, they need a center bad and thay have been talking to the Cavs for a while. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting The Prophecy:</div><div class="quote_post">lol. Bobac made that rumor up himself. And, there is no way that would happen.</div> He got that from last year when the Cavs and Raps were talking about a Z/Miles for Vince. Since they love their best player, they figure instead of offering up talent, lets offer our 3 worst players instead.
This isn't an era of outstanding NBA centers; after Shaq and Yao the pickings become extremely slim. KG and Duncan can play center, but they usually don't. Ilguaskas is one of the top 5 centers in the league and I doubt that Cleveland will make any rash moves with regard to his future with the team.
Last Night I got the feeling for the first time Z is just tired of being here... I think it is time to trade him
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting DajuanWagner#2:</div><div class="quote_post">I think he should stay, he just haveing a bad year, that's all! Just watch him next year</div> I have mixed opinions on this subject because I think Z helps us but I think he hurts us also. I think that he hurts us more than he helps us, his plus minus is on the minus side. He needs to learn how to bend then knees and play the D. He can block shots, we know that, he now needs to show that he can also keep on his man. He has been having one of his best years on offense so it's not like he is hurting us in that, it's just his D. I guess Paul and Z are always going to have there differences until he gets rid of him.
I think after D Wag & Diop are back .. I'll give it 2-3 weeks..if they stay healthy and Diop can pick of some time and not foul ..ALSO D wag scoring some.. Z is gone!
