Just found an interesting trade proposal on ESPN Insider: Zydrunas Ilguaskas to Dallas for Antawn Jamison. Very intruiging deal to me, it seems like a great fit for Antawn in Cleveland and Dallas finally gets a big man with some game. - At least on the offensive end.
Dallas would love that deal, provided Ilguaskas passes his physical. But I'm not so sure that Cleveland, after recently acquiring Kendrick Brown and still having Darius Miles, would bite. And of course they'd be losing their force in the middle. I think their main incentive for Jamison would be for veteran guidance, which Z already provides. I think its a no go from Cleveland's perspective.
I don't think Cleveland is too enamoured with Darius right now, he seems either bound for the bench or another team. Kedrick is a decent player, but I don't know if he's fit to start at the 3. I think Antawn would be a very nice offensive compliment to the Cavs team, imagine those three when Wagner gets back. Very potent. Battie and Diop can handle the center spot, Boozer will make up the difference on the boards. Just my opinion, but I like this deal for both teams.
Battie and Diop really can't handle the center spot, not in a way that would get more than 8-9 points a game out of it. The simple fact that Ilgauskas provides a majority of post scoring will make him valuable to the Cavs until Diop developes. Now that Mihm is gone, Diop is the clear successer that the Cavs have lined up for the center spot for the future, but to think that he's ready for more than 25 minutes a game isn't looking at where he is right now. I agree that a James, Wagner and Jamison trio would be spectacular however. And Jamison does have a bag of tricks for the post, but he won't be able to last down there as long as Ilgauskas can.
I think battie and Diop can do just fine, it was Z that was on the bench in crunch time while Diop was hitting clutch shots, grabbing huge rebounds, and blocking everything in sight. The defense I love, he is relentless on every possession. I think he can be the starting center for this team as early as next season.

I think Cleveland Should try to trade Z to Portland trailblazers for Rasheed Wallace, that would be a great trade and i think that blazers need somebody that over 7 f.
Rasheed in clevelend might not be exactly what silas wants. But jamison For Z could be great for both teams. The Cavaliers wont have to worry about the potential injury of Z's feet. And Dallas will finally be able to make shaq work.
That's the latest rumor, it would surely help both teams. Sounds though as if Cleveland is going to be very careful of who they surround LeBron with. This would be a good deal for them, but Wallace's troubles in Portland have to be taken into account.
I don't think anyone does. The only team's that would be willing whatsoever are probably contenders like Sacto, Dallas, etc., teams that can give Wallace some minutes off the bench to produce, but could boot him with no detriment to the team if he gets rowdy. And even those teams won't give a lot to get him. Cleveland IMO would never trade to acquire Wallace. They'd be much better off with Jamison, but I doubt they'll move for him either.
I dont think that he would go to a team where hes gonna be playin of the bench. Well on espn they were talkin about Spurs - Blazers trade. The trade would involve Wallace - Rasho and some other player, im not sure who.
Nope, Spurs wouldn't do that either. I'm not saying Wallace wants to come off the bench. I'm just saying that the only teams that would make a serious bid for him are going to be ones that will either bring him off the bench, or seriously reduce his minutes to between 25-34, or around there. But there are several reasons why the Spurs won't do the trade. They want a big man to play alongside Duncan. Duncan adamantly insists that he's a pf, not a center. If they had picked up JO over the summer, he'd be playing the five just like Rasho. And they don't want a center who's gonna drift away from the inside and take threes. The Spurs are perfectly happy with the way Rasho is playing, and any rumors about Wallace coming are like any rumor about the Knicks - Unfounded.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting OgShowtime:</div><div class="quote_post">The Spurs signed Rasho to a ridiculous deal - they'll never be able to move him.</div> Even if they wanted to move him i dont think NY would agree to this trade, because Mutombo is way better player then Rasho and he is doing really good this year with knicks.
