Illinois' 7-foot-1 center Meyers Leonard fouled out, so Penn State coach Patrick Chambers knew exactly what play to run off a timeout with 16 seconds left and the game on the line.

Give the ball to point guard Tim Frazier and have him attack the basket.
    Nice plan.

Frazier hit a floater in the lane with 8 seconds left and Jermaine Marshall blocked Sam Maniscalco's layup at the buzzer to give Penn State a 54-52 upset of Illinois (No. 25 ESPN/USA Today, No. 22 AP) on Thursday night.
