After watching more and more Sonics game I'm becoming more and more convinced that Luke Ridnour is a legitimate starting point guard in this league. He is doing a great job of harassing other point guards in the backcourt, he is making good decisions, and he is making shots both from the perimeter and through penetration.

I never hated Ridnour's game, but I didn't think that he was capable of doing the same things he did in college at the NBA level. I knew that w/ increased minutes that his confidence and production would go up but I didn't think that he would be playing w/ as much poise and confidence that he has the past two weeks.

I can admit when I'm wrong. Ridnour may be a long term starter for the Supes, but I still believe the jury is out on him. I will admit that he is playing much better than I ever would have imagined him doing at this point in his career.

That being said, I can't wait for Flip to eat into his minutes.

The Sonics are the western conference version of a blue collar team. Lets enjoy it while we can, in a couple years when we have a bunch of contracts expiring these players will be asking for major $$. I'm starting to think that it's smart that we didn't give Ray the money that he requested. It will be better used to re-sign these young guys.

Dominating the west without a legit center? Who would've thought?

Centers on the dominant Western teams: Ervin Johnson/Michael Olowokandi, Rasho Nesterovic, Erick Dampier, Brad Miller. It's not hugely difficult to break even.

I'm beginning to believe you were wrong to, Shiekster. The boy can play, he was superb against the Jazz too. And he seems to be a better defender than advertised.

It's all about a dominant power forward in the West; Duncan, Garnett, Randolph, Brand, Stoudemire, Boozer, Webber ... Evans.

I've been saying he's not a bad defender all along. It's like Jay Bilas' chair joke labeled him for life.

That's one thread that you'll never see me create. The day I say that Reggie Evans is a big time player is the day that I should be committed.

I like to get it in too, but when I do I'm chasing women not ruining keyboards. [IMG]

I hope that my "love affair" ( [IMG] ) w/ Flip isn't the first thing you think about after a couple shots of whisky. [IMG]

Remember this post in March when we are jockeying (competing) for a playoff position.
