Carney is a better shooter than Brewer is, and is faster than Brewer is. While Carney isn't a Reddick or anything, he can keep the defense honost enough to not crash down on Howard all the time down low. Brewer can't shoot very well at all from long range, and the defenses would just crowd around Howard the entire time. If Carney isn't there, i would rather have Reddick. He is not as athletic as Brewer, but he is 10 times the shooter and would open it up for Howard inside.

Re: I'm calling it - Jazz with select Redick at 14 When they picked JJ Redick i was jumping in my chair with joy, if they had picked that Brewer guy i would have been so upset with the Magic. Not taking away from Brewer, he is an amazing athlete and a good basketball player, but he wouldn't stretch defenses with his shooting like JJ Redick can. The Magic after a long couple of years are finally headed in the right direction.
