It's always about next year and what this team can be. It never ever materializes. How many 40 shot games can you have where you generate no offense? Every goalie this team plays it made out to be the 1986 version of Patrick Roy. What did I post a couple of weeks ago about Nash? He plays with his head up his ass a majority of the time. Then you get a handful of games where he's elite and then it's back to being invisible. A new coach with a new system and nothing changes. They simply cannot score and they blow game after game they should win and cost themselves points. Since you cannot fire the entire team it's time to get Sather the fuck out of here. The guy has been miserable and has built nothing. Besides the run to the ECF what is his resume during his time here? Struggling to get into the playoffs? Some first round wins followed by complete destruction in the second round? This organization is going nowhere and they are completely wasted having one of the more elite goalies in the game wearing their uniform.

I am with you Mess. It is a joke now. In 15 or 16 years here we have had ONE good season under Sather...ONE.

Every other season it is barely slip in or barely miss the playoffs. Usually one and done. Every now and then win a round.

It is a fuck*ng disgrace this guy has a job still. BUT I am not even going to complain about Sather anymore, it is pointless.

I now think we need to add some centers who can f'ing score and win faceoffs. And we need a big physical dman to complete the top 4. And a big physical forward who can play and complete the top 9.

I am so f'ing done with Nash. What a joke that guy has been. F'ing joke.

I think the biggest thing Messiah is what we said in another thread: It simply doesn't matter who the player is, he comes to NY after being very good somewhere else and completely stinks. You make the St Louis trade for games like this. He HAS to be a difference maker in a game like this and all he does is pass pass pass. Nash is a joke also. He had jump today but now has stone hands.

Brassard pointless in 8 games. Agree with SC he is slow small and disappears.

This team on paper should be pretty good. We know the holes. Toughness is lacking. Size is lacking. But you cannot get shutout in a game where your rivals you are fighting for a playoff spot have games in hand

Yep. Pretty frustrating. I actually think the team went in the right direction with Hagelin, Lindberg and Fast. Adding more Swedes. Guys that are smarter players. Hagelin got screwed today by morons in Toronto. I think the Rangers should continue to go in that direction. Drafting more Swedes. They seem to be very good at winning close games.

As I said in another thread. Still liked the Nash deal because Dubinsky is a moron who will be asking for 6 million after next season. That being said. I definitely move him in the right deal at the end of the season. I think the right deal will be there. There will be a lot of disappointed teams out there at the end of the year.

Team needs more toughness. Not goons like Struds wants. Guys that can hit, fight and score a little and just are tough to play against.

Be patient with St. Louis. Again, it took a lot of players on this team a long time to get this system down. Remember that Girardi looked like a bumbling idiot for half a season.

This is not surprising at all. The core of the successful teams stays with the team for many years. SC teams do not trade their core who may not be as sexy as 'Nash" and that is why they win. I have been saying this for years, stop trading!!!!!! Keep your core especially after games 6 of ECF. You do not change much after a good year. Nash sucks! and I am not saying Dubi, AA is better than Nash, but these trades will never work out. It is all about the core! That group was very close, they liked each other and after Cali's trade something is lost. I feel it, I am surprised I am the only one.

Now we are trading Nash? Wasn't he the missing piece?

Guy has basically been playing with one guy Stamkos for years. He needs some time to develop some chemistry and get used to this system. He'll be fine. Nash on the other hand has a lot of dog in him. Next year, let some other team try to get the dog out of him.

Want to really know what a joke this team is? Wayne Simmonds in Philly would be leading the Rangers in points with 47.

Simmonds is exactly the kind of guy this team needs but he would probably come here and score 4 goals

Tell me 3 forwards on the current roster you would keep instead of having a guy like Simmonds on the team.

Callahan did crap this year and he's getting old fast. Sather tried to get Simmonds from L.A. He almost got him. Can't fault him there. Philly has always had high scorers. They just don't play good defense.

The real shame is that Lundy's career is being wasted.

I love Simmonds. He would be perfect here.

As for MSL, he was without Stamkos pretty much all season and still had 29 goals and was top 10 in scoring. He has to get it going soon. SHOOT THE PUCK MARTY.

Yes on Lundy but he isn't immune to criticism either. He played great today no doubt but he has been up and down all year
