Below are some of the most important dates on the NBA calendar for the Denver Nuggets as we hope to make a run for the Playoffs. Keep these dates in your planner!

Friday, April 1st-This is one of the most crucial dates for the Nuggets for X reasons. The first reason is that Denver will be facing the opponent that it would face if the playoffs started today. The Nuggets MUST make an impact on this game and go out and beat the Spurs. Yet another reason that this is such a crucial date, is because the 3 other teams who have a major impact on where the Nuggets end up in the playoff spot, if they end up with one at all, are all in action. Memphis plays at Milwaukee, Wolves play at Suns, and finally the Kings play at Cleveland.

Sunday, April 3rd – Minnesota squares off with the Sacramento Kings. This is a no win situation for the Nuggets. If the Kings win, The Timberwolves will fall back in the standings, but the Kings will move up making it that much harder for the Nuggets to catch them in the 6th playoff spot. Now if the Wolves win, they will move up in the standings, but the Kings will fall back, which will hopefully mean the Nuggets, can get that 6th spot. I guess we shouldn’t get greedy, because if we do we might not even make the playoffs. GO KINGS!

Tuesday, April 5th- Anytime the Nuggets square off with one of the three dictating teams it is a big game. The Nuggets will be taking the Memphis Grizzlies. This game can hopefully give us some breathing room on Memphis. If we can pull a full game ahead of the Grizzlies, and keep playing the same type of ball that we have been, Memphis will have no chance at catching us. It will also help because with a win this night, we will own the season series, and any tiebreaker as well.

Friday, April 8th- Nuggets and the Wolves facing off. Do I have to say anything more?

Friday, April 15th-Denver will be taking on Memphis. This will be the last head to head match between the two. It will be the last chance for either team to gain ground oneach other. A must win for both team. Also, both Sacramento and Minnesota will be facing off.

Monday, April 18th- Hopefully Denver can win atleast one game against Pheonix. This game also might be the deciding factor for how the playoffs shape up, as it is so close to the end of the season.

You have to give credit to the schedule makers this year. Those two final games with the Grizzlies could mean an 8th seed, 7th seed, or completely out of the playoffs for the Nuggets. I think the Nuggets need to get healthy and play a few games with their entire squad before the playoffs start.
