It's pretty amazing that less than half the population in American still didn't approve of marriage between blacks and whites in 1995.

That's frightening, but it is kinda cool that there has been such a dramatic shift in a short time (I assume some of this has to do with the older generations dying off, too).

It will be fascinating to see similar poll results for gay marriage 20 years from now.

I was thinking that. I'd be curious to see now v. even 10 years ago.

    The real question is:

Would you let him date your daughter?

    Blatantly sexist remark.

Why didn't you ask "would you let your son date her?"

I think it will be fascinating to see this same poll in 20 years to be completely honest. I could see it either bump to high 90s or dip back down again.

And that goes both ways, gender and race. Thankfully my family doesn't think that way, but a couple girls I've dated... Their families weren't very accepting to say it in a nice way.

Seems like apples vs oranges here Sly. On one hand, no children result so why care. On the other, you may want to consider children that may result.

My grandsons all have blonde hair and green eyes, as does or did, grandfather. Not going to happen in a mixed race marriage.

Seriously, why is it important that your grandchildren look like you?

I don't think blonde hair and green eyes should go extinct. Those are the visible attributes, perhaps others not visible.

The most racist and most averse group of people I've ever met when it comes to interracial relationships are Indian people (India)
