The home of the BNP Paribas Open has begun a project to add new practice courts, lighting and viewing platforms adjacent to the main practice courts at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. The tournament, to be played March 7-20, 2011, features both the men's and women's pro tours. This year's event attracted 339,000 people, making it the most attended event outside of the Grand Slam tournaments.
