Simon Pagenaud takes Grand Prix of Alabama for second win in a row Here are the highlights from Sunday’s Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park: SECOND STRAIGHT: Verizon IndyCar Series points leader Simon Pagenaud made it two race wins in succession — after winning last week in Long Beach, Calif. — to continue his strong start to the season. The Team Penske driver has finished second, second, first and first to open the year — extending his lead in the standings to 48 points over Scott Dixon because Dixon had trouble early in the race and finished 10th. Pagenaud won for the sixth time in his career, and his margin of victory was 13.7 seconds. “I had a really fast car,” Pagenaud said in victory lane. “With traffic (at the end of the race) it was all about keeping Graham (Rahal) behind me. Anyways, I won the race. Graham damaged his front wing, so I just took my chances. And then I just run away. …. I’m driving my best and having a fantastic time with the whole team. That PPG car — man, second time in a row we’re in victory lane. I’m just so delighted.” Read more http://sports.usatoday.com/2016/04/24/indycar-simon-pagenaud-wins-alabama-grand-prix-graham-rahal/
