I found this injury report on nba.com (http://www.nba.com/fantasy/fantasy_playerinjury.jsp?conf=west) So, what's the deal with Raja Bell? Did he opt for surgery, and does that mean he's out for the season? It says Biedrins will be back late November, which is obviously now. So is he essentially on the verge of coming back at any point? Day to day? It says Devean George is day to day...should I expect to see him start stealing minutes soon? I just can't wait for late April, so Troy Hudson can mount his comeback...hopefully CWebb will be back by then too. As always, thanks for letting me pick your mind. What about Speedy Claxton? I thought he was ready to play according to his Twitter when he got traded. Not that I want him to play but sounds like his injury and Devean George's injury are made-up.
Supposedly Bell is scheduled to have the surgery next week in Charlotte, and will be out anywhere from 3 weeks to 4 months depending on how bad they find the injury to be. So he could conceivably play again this year, or be out for the entire season. Since he needs a new contract next year, though, I'd expect him to err on the side of caution. I don't know the details about Biedrins, but I think his injury is too serious to be day to day, I haven't heard anyone describe it that way recently. Not sure how long he'll be out for, but probably at least another week or two. Devean George could play tonight vs. Indiana (yuck). He's been practicing with the team since Friday. No idea what the deal is with Claxton. I think the Warriors are hoping they can have insurace cover most of his contract so I wouldn't expect to see him play anytime soon.
That won't happen till after the trade deadline. Right now, he has value as trade bait. I also think they're trying to see if his salary can be paid with insurance. Regarding Hunter, the league has allowed the Warriors to keep him under some hardship exception. I think this needs to be renewed every two weeks. I'm not worried about Hunter. He's found a home here and I don't think the Warriors will let him go that easily.
