I counted 4 missed layups and two extended rests laying on the floor during action by Nurkic. Of course there was the obligatory holding his face while running down court action as well.

What this article seems to be saying is that the IST is working. It's creating interest in the league at a time when most casual sports fans weren't tuning in. Been a huge success. Not perfect and could have some tweaks buf yes it'll be here a long time. Bunch of old cranky men on this forum who've posted otherwise, probably similar to people saying the 3 point shot was a temporary fad 40 years ago. Wouldn't be shocked if in 10+ years we get a second IST. Really doesn't detract at all from the regular season since their also regular season games.
