Sorry, got to vent. I came to work an hour early because I had so much to work on and two long meetings today. I rarely drive but when I do always park in the front row. The night shift was still here and the front row taken. It took 10 minutes of driving around to figure out how to get to the second row- it's not obvious & I've never done it before. Get to work and can't log onto computer. Tried 3 times. Callled IT and after a long discussion figured out my keyboard had died. My headset also died so I had to hold the receiver, then put it down to try the computer, pick it up, etc. Tried to just use laptop but could not see the screen. Asked around and found a spare keyboard. Went down for breakfast before installing it. Went to plug in new keyboard but when pulling out old one knocked over my breakfast onto the floor. New keyboard would not "connect". I got the disc, although it's supposed to be plug and play, installed, restarted, still not working. Turns out my docking station also was bad, when I plugged the keyboard direct into laptop it worked. Then the battery ran low. Because there was a problem with the outlet. Had to re-plug in computer, restart again. By 8 AM I had not done any work, after 2 hours here. Thought about just leaving and driving home but no doubt my car would die on the San Mateo Bridge if I did. Shit shit shit shit shit. I am not having a good day. Had to vent. Thank you.
I'm having a shitty day, too. Today is my one day off, so I was out pretty late drinking last night. I finally went to bed about 3:30am. So then, at 7am I wake up to loud banging directly outside my apartment. I look outside, and it turns out they are putting up new balconies and today is the day for that. I tried and tried to get back to sleep, but it's just way too loud.

My father has had two heart attacks since Saturday. I might be coming back to Portland for a few days or more.
Wow, that puts stuff into perspective. I know of someone who posts on S2 who recently had a heart attack. That is scary. Best wishes to your father.
Coincidentally, I was instructed by our Health and Physical Readiness Center to see my physician ASAP last Wednesday because my heart rate is hovering between 200-230 beats per minute when I work out, which puts me at risk for serious heart issues. I made the appointment for today. Then my dad gets rushed to Tuality on Saturday...
