<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Toronto Raptors announced Sunday evening that guard Jose Calderon sustained a contusion to his left lower back during Sunday’s 120-115 victory over the Golden State Warriors at Air Canada Centre. Calderon sustained the injury with 32.4 seconds remaining in the game and was examined in the Raptors locker room before being transported to a local hospital for further tests. Those tests suggested a soft tissue injury with no significant underlying bone, neurological or major organ damage. Calderon’s playing status is day-to-day, and he did not accompany the team on its flight to Phoenix after the game. The Raptors open a four-game road trip against the Suns on Tuesday. In his second year with the Raptors, Calderon is averaging 6.4 points, 3.1 assists and 16.9 minutes in 24 games with the 10-14 Raptors.</div> http://www.insidehoops.com/calderon-injury-121706.shtml NICE
Bad news for us, Calderon was on the edge of having a breakout year and now he's injured. I wish he comes back with us soon, he's a good guy that plays with his heart.
Well if its just soft tissue damage that is really good news. The way that he fell down and didn't get up, and seemed to be in really bad pain even minutes later made it worriesome that it might be serious.
