Inter Offer £7.95 Million For Lampard <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The midfielder has been linked with a move to the San Siro throughout the summer, speculation which has only increased when former manager Jose Mourinho replaced Roberto Mancini as the new manager of Inter. The Italian club now appear to have made their interest in the midfielder formal by offering Chelsea £7.5 million for Lampard who cost Chelsea £11 million when he signed from West Ham United in 2001. Despite the earlier declarations from Scolari it is known that Lampard would be interested in being reunited with Mourinho and, as he is in the last year of his contract and could therefore leave Stamford Bridge for nothing at the end of the season, Chelsea may be keen to cash in on the player. Lampard has enjoyed fantastic success at Chelsea, winning two league titles and one FA Cup with the Blues. He also scored in this season’s Champions League final despite Chelsea ultimately finishing as runners up to Manchester United. However, with Chelsea having already signed Deco his summer and with the club having plenty of midfield options including Ballack, Wright Phillips, Malouda, Mikel, Makelele and Cole, the loss of Lampard may not be felt too acutely which could see him leave the club after seven years.</div>
