    Inter To Sign Mancini Today

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Mancini’s contract at the Stadio Olimpico runs out in 2009, and Roma will sell him this summer in order to avoid the risk of losing him on a Bosman next year.

Inter and Roma have been involved in negotiations regarding the 28-year-old for quite some time now, and yesterday it was reported that the transfer was on the verge of completion.

The two clubs will meet again today when Inter technical director Gabriele Oriali travels to Rome where a final fee between the two clubs, believed to be around €12.5m should be agreed upon.

Meanwhile, Mancini’s agent Gilmar Veloz is also in Italy to finalise his client’s personal terms, and the winger is expected to net around €2.5m a year.

“For now I am still a Roma player,” Mancini himself told the Corriere dello Sport.

“But the Giallorossi have given their blessing for me to leave and are speaking to Inter.

“Inter are a great club with important players and champions who can always make a difference.

“They have won the last three Scudetti and when a club with such ambition wants you, you are inevitably flattered. It’s nice to be wanted by them.”</div>
