<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Arizona coach Lute Olson believes Timberwolves rookie Ndubi Ebi went to the bank in Minnesota instead of to class in Tucson because of lousy advice. "An agent got ahold of him and sold him a bill of goods," Olson said Tuesday in a conference call. "That will cost him a lot of money." Ebi, a 6-foot-9 forward out of a Houston high school, has played little. In 12 appearances, his totals include 10 points and three rebounds. Not much to sell there. As a freshman, he would be playing instead of sitting. Ebi signed with the Wildcats a year ago but made himself eligible for last summer's NBA draft when he was told he would get first-round money. Ebi was the No. 26 pick, which is worth more than $2.1 million over the next three years. If Olson is right, Ebi better invest wisely, because his marketable skills will go dormant. </div> Arizona Central
Yah, I knew that when we got him. He probably should have went to college, but we got him probably a year earlier, and they say he would have been a top 5 pick if he went to college for a year. And this way he gets to learn under one of the best players in the NBA right now, Kevin Garnett.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting L.Sooch:</div><div class="quote_post">y isnt Ndudi Ebi gettin any minutes???????</div> Because we are contenders and he is just learning. I'm pretty sure he will get more playing time next year, but right now he is just a practice body and a project.
ebi will be a heck of a player in league he just needs to put on weight and he has potential to be a Jermaine OnNeal type of player

When he is out on the court he seems to be a bit lost, doesn't know where to turn. Other guys out of high school were much much better as rookies, Ebi seems to not belong to the NBA. I hope he won't be a big bust.
Ebi is the more athletic kind of player. The TWolves probably are hoping for him to take Spree's starting slot when he retires.
I'm thinking he'd be a good fit either in Spree's old role or at the 3 spot, and then they'd give Wally back his old 2 spot when Spree retires. He's more a Darius Miles/Tracy McGrady player than Jermaine O'Neal, but the analogy fits in that he's going through 'NBA University', getting his play time in practice against good, solid veterans who are contending for a title. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting DDC:</div><div class="quote_post">I'm hearing this from a lot of people I just want to ask: How do you guys know that? He's probably closer to Luol Deng than James right now, a guy who'd star on a good college team like Arizona but not in the NBA. Give him three years to get used to the size of players, and he'll be at least a solid contributor, well worth a low 1st rounder. That, I think, is the biggest transition. This guy is 6'9", so he was taller than most HS centers he want up against but as agile as a guard. Now he's among 'the trees', and its not easy, especially with such a slight frame as his. In a bumper crop of a graduating class, a lot of the hype had him as the 2nd best hs player after Lebron, ahead of Deng(Duke), Charlie Villenueva(Connecticut), Kendrick Perkins(Celtics), James Lang(Hornets), and Kris Humphries(Minnesota). With those kinds of raves, the Wolves' mouths had to have been watering that he was still available when their pick came around.
I think the Wolves would really make good use of their only 1st round pick in so long. So Ndudi must have some potential in him. And as a skinny tall forward fresh out of high school, who could teach him better then KG?
