I'm going to Portland for Thanksgiving weekend. I'd like to see if anyone wanted to pimp out their favorite local store purveyor. Anything really, from good foods to serve at thanksgiving (any good dessert stores or pie shops? usually go to beaverton bakery)...to things like pens and small leather goods, etc.

damn, might have to try this out:

    Big Cheryl's "Ghetto" Cake

A dense, moist cake with a touch of orange and rum, and filled with pastry cream and mixed berries. There’s nothing “ghetto” about it except for the bad pronunciation of the French word “gâteau!”
