<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Jones lined up a foot away from T.O. and started pumping his arms to fire up the crowd. When quarterback Tony Romo saw what was about to happen, he pulled third-string quarterback Richard Bartel out of the drill and lined up under center.</div>

Ya gotta love this stuff. Owens cheating up(it mentions it in another article) in line to go against Adam Jones...... Romo sees this going on, cheats to make sure he's the guy throwing the ball to Owens....

Stuff like this, I can't help but eat up.

Also, FWIW: apparently Crayton has been doing similar things. He's been trying to get extra reps going against Newman. Me likey.

Extra goodness? Sure. Forgot which beat reporter it was, but he stated that Hurd is pushing Crayton pretty hard. Good news to hear.

    More awesome news:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>That’s because Crayton and Hurd are running very precise routes. Hurd has been very impressive the last couple of days at getting separation. He told me yesterday he’s gunning for a starting spot and he’ll definitely get more playing time if he keeps playing this way.</div>

More evidence of Hurd stepping up..... can you believe he is only 23 and is entering his 3rd year in the league? Pray with me that he can be (at least) a solid #3 WR.....

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>On the defensive side, Anthony Spencer stopped everything to his side. He started to get reps more late in the season for his run stopping ability and he looks like he’s still improving.</div>

Spencer and Ware are going to be great bookends for a looooooooong time!

    And again.....

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>3:21 p.m. (PDT) Maybe the most exciting play of camp thus far. It was Adam Jones' turn to cover the receiver in one-on-one drills when T.O. broke in line to go against him. It was Richard Bartel's turn to throw, but Tony Romo yanked him out of the way. Jones starts pumping up the crowd.

Time to test the new guy. Jones ran stride for stride with Owens until about 25 yards downfield when the veteran receiver gave him one of the sickest hip fakes you'll see. Jones went left, and Owens went right on a post route, buying himself a good 15 feet of seperation. Romo threw a beautiful 40-yard strike and Owens scored, spiking the ball.

On the way back to the huddle the thousands of Cowboys fans in attendance serenaded 81 with chants of "T.O.! T.O.!"

Owens put his hand up to his ear so he could hear better. I think he wanted to make sure Jones heard it too, as the badly-beaten cornerback walked back to the drill with his head down.

    ---

3:49 p.m. (PDT) Romo and T.O. just did it again. This time Owens split first-round pick Mike Jenkins and safety Pat Watkins on a post route for an easy 40-yard touchdown pass in 7-on-7 drills. Owens is owning this training camp so far.</div>

Sportscenter just did a blurb on the TO/Adam relationship, I've got to say I'm pretty pleased with what I'm seeing. Adam's out there working hard, and in general just has a positive outlook on everything.

Hurd stepping up is good to hear. I know he's not the physical specimen as Austin but I've always had higher hopes for the kid. I suppose it shouldn't surprise too many people that Hurd is stepping up in practice. This reminds me of when he put in the extra work with TO last year.

Love this. Great to see Adam and TO working hard along with Crayton. I can't wait till the season comes.

Newman is now out for 3 weeks, that is going to help Jones a lot, I think. Jones needed the extra reps, for sure. Kind of a blessing in disguise, since we know Newman will be back before the season starts.
