Whats some good international rock out there? I'm into the old stuff (Ie: Beatles, Sabbath, etc.), but I'd like to know some good new international bands. The only decent ones I know of right now are Coldplay, Franz Ferdinand, Muse, Radiohead, Oasis, the Vines, the Verve, the Hives, and the Darkness. I'm probably forgetting like 10-15 bands though. Anyway, they never play good international music outside of these bands in the states. I know that this lounge has a lot of foreign falvor, so share. [IMG]

Symphony X. I think they're from Europe but I'm not completely sure.

They're not the big on the world stage yet, but the Feelers. They are a New Zealand band, recently finished a tour of New Zealand. I went to one of their concerts, good stuff. They're really new and we should hear more about them soon. They had the top selling album in New Zealand recently.

Crowded House aren't together anymore, but they are an Australiasian band who produced some really high quality music in their time together. Very mellow at times, the lead singer Neil Finn had one of the best overall voices I've heard.

Well, here are some "International" acts that the Spoon gets into, with some reccommendations:

NB: Jet are a tool of Satan.

Muse Stockholm Syndrome, Time is Running Out, New Born, Hysteria
Eskimo Joe Planet Earth, From the Sea, Liar, Wake Up, Seven Vales
Powderfinger Hindley Street, Private Man, These Days, Not My Kinda Scene
Pacifier Home Again, Comfort Me, Run, Bullitproof, My Mind's Sedate
Crowded House Mean to Me, Don't Dream It's Over, Fall at Your Feet
Sigur Ros well, not any songs specifically, just purchase and/or pirate their albums [IMG]

So you're referring to yourself in the third person now? [IMG]

There's a band I've known about for years and is just getting kind of big in the States. It's annoying because everyone calls them a Radiohead knockoff even though both bands came around at the same time.

Some really great recommendations there. I was able to download Eskimo Joe - "From the Sea", two Powderfinger songs not on the list, Pacifier - "Bullitproof", and a Crowded House song not on the list. I would have liked to get all of those, but I couldn't find any on WinMX. I'll switch over to LimeWire tonight and try there. Anyway, thanks. [IMG]

I just got Venus... good track.

The only thing that came up in my search for this was: Snoop Dogg ft. Mia X - Ghetto Symphony. [IMG]

    Bijelo Dugme
    Crvena Jabuka

...both European bands, classic rock a la Queen maybe. It's in a different language, but good music nontheless.

Another band is Regurgitator. See if you can get their entire album 'Unit'. Not everyone's cup of tea, but worth a listen...
