The Iowa Wolves snapped a four-game losing streak with a 110-05 victory over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Saturday night at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. Iowa (5-5) was led by forward Chris Silva who recorded his fifth-straight double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Isaiah Miller chipped in 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting off the bench. One night after Fort Wayne (6-4) hung on for a 105-103 victory over Iowa, it was the Wolves turn to thwart a comeback attempt by the Mad Ants. Saturday in a game that featured 15 lead changes and eight ties, Iowa held a nine-point lead with 4:39 left in after Silva's turnaround hook. Later, Fort Wayne twice pulled within two points, including with just 34.4 seconds to go after Gabe York drilled a three-pointer. However, the Wolves played tight defense down the stretch and forward Brian Bowen II, who finished with 18 points, made three-out-of-four at the free throw line to help hold on for the road win. Bennie Boatwright paced the Mad Ants with 22 points off the bench while Duane Washington Jr. and York tallied 21 and 20 points, respectively. After a six-game road trip, Iowa returns home Monday, Dec. 13 for the first matchup against the Wisconsin Herd in a two-game series at Wells Fargo Arena. Tipoff on Monday is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT. The two teams will meet again on Wednesday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena in the Wolves' final Showcase Cup game before heading to Las Vegas Dec. 19-22. Wolves News Release
