Sup guys, I have a 30gb ipod video and I have all my music in my grandma's comp. I pimped my computer so i want to put all the new music im going to download into my ipod. However since my new comp doesnt have the music, will all the music in my ipod get deleted? Also is there anyway in which I can get videos from youtube.com into the ipod?
I hate to say it, but I think when you transfer your iPod from on computer to another, the iPod automatically updates and refreshes from the computer's library, which deletes the music. That's what happened to mine.

Then when you install itunes or whatever upload all that music to your library there and youll have all the files togeather in one place.
Do you have your iPod on manual or automatic update? If you have it on manual update, it won't delete everything. If you have it on automatic, it will delete everything. Most of the videos you want you'll have to convert since it's in AVI format usually. First, save the video onto your computer. Then you can use Videora to convert AVI to MP4.If you want TV shows, go to www.ipodnova.net
There is also a program, I don't recall the website, that allows you to put music from your iPod to the computer which is what you want. If I were you I'd go on Apple's site to the help forums.
Yep,go to your grandma's house and hook your iPod up and then right click it in iTunes and go to settings and change it to Manual updates. Then it wont delete anything when you plug it into other peoples computers...but the downside to that is,you have to add all the songs you want manually instead of it automatically going to your ipod.
^^^ change it before you hook the Ipod in to it...make sure its on manual update, then u can just update it by going to File > Update ipod
Ok now I made it manual. Now i have my ipod connected in my comp. how do i put music into it?NVM GOT IT. THX GUYS FOR THE HELP
It automatically updates. However, if you do this WITHOUT your iPod plugged, then it won't.Go to preferences in the iTunes program and there should be a tab called 'iPod'. There will be a checked option where it says 'automatically transfer songs from my Library to the Library of iPod' or something like that. Uncheck it. Then say yes to the window that pops up.I'm pretty sure that'll help.
