Expectations were low. Expectations were met. NBC’s Ironside premiere delivered a rusted rating Wednesday night. The remake of the classic 1960s-70s series about a wheelchair-bound detective starring Blair Underwood had 6.8 million viewers and a 1.4 rating at 10 p.m., ranking third in the hour. And yet … the year-ago time-slot comparison gives you a bit of pause. Because Chicago Fire debuted in this slot with a less-terrible-yet-still-pretty-bad 1.9 rating and look where it is today — winning Tuesdays at 10 p.m. with a spin-off on the way. If only NBC could air The Voice every night, all its problems would be solved! Read more http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/10/03/ironside-nbc-ratings/
