I'm sick and tired of it, every year coaches are fired for GM's mistakes, every year coaches are fired because they don't make it to the playoffs with an average roster. What and the hell do these GM's and Owners expect? I'm sick of it. Right now fans want Stotts fired, what did you expect the Bucks to do? Make the finals? My lord I don't get it, so you want Stotts fired so we can pick up who? Who? Who is out there that will make this team a contender? Phil Jackson may be the only exception but give me a break. I'm sick and tired of it.

Come on, a lot of you guys are fans of teams who have coaches on the firing line, what are your opinions.

I would have to agree. Some coaches are pretty good. But when you have a dumbass for a GM, your basically screwed. But if you do have an ass as a GM, you might as well find a new team anyways.

It's like this: Who plays, the coach or the player?Yes the coach can tell the player what to do, but if one plays basketball, they know that offenses are nothing. They are merely something to organize things, but once the game gets rolling and a team has momentm, the playbook is worth nothing. Does the coach shoot the shot? Does the coach make the pass? The coach can help, but the rest is up to the players. Exception: Larry Brown. He basically told his team to play the opposite way of what they were good at: Using athletisicm. It's funny to see BCB talk about how coach's get too much credit / blame, considering he credits Steve Nash's success sorely to Mike D ' Antoni

The coach is always the scapegoat when a team does poorly, which is very unfair. A perfect example is the recent firing of Rick Adelman, the Kings aren't going to find a replacement that's better than he was.

I think it depends on the situation. Like for instance, Rick Adleman could have been a mistake. That team was playing great after they picked up Artest. Artest even said himself he would play for free if Adleman and Wells came back next year. I mean he obviously wouldn't play for free, but you get the point. Then there are situation that bug me like when a coach gets fired because of a poor record, but at the same time has the worst roster in the league. That's unfair. Help the guy out and get him assets he can coach to victory.Like you said BCB, there are fans here that have their teams coach in a tight situation. Doc Rivers might be one of those guys. I think with a veteran team Doc can be a good coach. He needs to work on some things, sure, but you can't blame him for disfunctional rotations when he has the Celtics roster. It's all youth, you don't know what you have yet. I like Doc and all, but if a guy like Rick Adleman or another good coach came along and was interested in Boston, I say sure why not. Plus he's a pretty decent broadcaster lol. But I wouldn't complain if Doc was here next year, and I wouldn't complain if he wasn't (as long as we get the right coach to come along). Doc is good with young guys though because he doesn't hand them minutes, he makes them work for them.
