( I live in Indianapolis )His shot blocking is amazing. Seriously, his arms are long as hell. His offensive game still needs professional touch ups...I wouldn't say he's Lebron, but he's not a bust.
I think he's too phsyically talented to end up as a Kwame. Although whether he can imitate Lebron remains to be seen.

lol u wouldnt of said that while he was with washingtonyou just say it cuz you're a laker fan ^^and i think oden is gunna become a huge presence in the NBA

With his defensive abilities that we've seen in the McDonalds game and such he will definetely go first pick however I want to see how he copes with the league and make sure he's not another Kwame Brown.
I think the top three players in a few years will be: Lebron, Wade, and Oden. Oden will dominate the post, I think he'll end up better than Patrick Ewing. If injuries don't slow him down, he could be David Robinson. Whoever drafts him should count their blessings.
no way oden becomes a kwame brown. But who knows maybe brown is good. But he doesnt seem to play like he cares which kills him.one year of college for oden should be good enough to help him out.
well i mean it's just high school basketball lol so he doesnt have to put his life on the line in every play..he's only what 17 years old?..he knows people expect him to make an impact right away in the NBA and he will DEFINITLY play hard in the NBA..and hes also gunna be playing hard in college to secure his #1 spot in a VERY strong draft class
No way. He is way too talented and skilled as a player to become Kwame Brown. He is also a smart kid, and he won't slack off like Kwame. I hope he realizes that he should stay in college enough for him to be ready as a basketball player. If you mean impact, then I would have to say he will be a Lebron James. He is off the charts judging from his scouting reports
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (nba dogmatist @ Jul 31 2006, 12:36 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>neither. He's a david robinson. :happy0144:</div>We're not talking about his game, of course he resembles David Robinson greatly however what htis thread really means is, is he a bust? or is he a superstar?
guys, i know what he meant, that's why i winked. But he is definitely not a bust. He's too athletic, too great of a shotblocker. If people expect him to get 25 a night his rookie year, they'll see him as a bust, but i don't expect him to get those numbers. I'm looking for something like 15/9 his rookie year.
The guy is definatley not going to end up a bust. Thats for sure. Unlike Kwame Brown, he is 7 foot tall, and he weighs probably 275. He looks like pure muscle and his defensive skills are amazing. His offensive game needs a little work but whatever coach gets him will have an easy time teaching him things. He is going to be a great player.
You know what I find funny? When people call him a kid when he's older than them.Anyway he'll be a great player in this league for years to come. Hopefully he can man down the Center Position when Shaq retires. I'm still looking for the guy who'll be able to take that reponsibility.
He's not a Kwame, he'll he's better built at age 17 than Kwame is now..Kwame was an athletic big man, that showed sky high potential. The NBA scouts fall in love with potential and athletiscm..Kwame was no where near as developed physically and skill-wise as Oden will be coming out of HS. Once Oden refines his offensive game, he'll be amazing..All his other skills are awsome, and they will only get better..He will be a top 5 player in the league.
