of the Panthers and I just remember their mistakes, or does it seem they have some internal issues or just plain bad luck???

? Several DUI's in the past 2 years (Cooper, Sauerbrun, and others I can't remember off the top of my head, and I know other teams have them also)

? The steroid scandal that just came out

? Peppers & Buckner being suspended in '02 for substances

? Steve Smith literally beating Anthony Bright out of the NFL

? Fred Lane being murdered just after being traded

    ? Kerry Collins (enough said)

? And last, but definitely not least, Rae Carruth in the murder for hire incident that killed his girlfriend, but not their unborn child...

I stopped rooting for the Cowboys when Jerry Jones fired the 2nd best, as well as the 2nd overall, coach they had ever had, just because he wanted his way...the only thing they as a team even had was Irvin and Allen having some coke and smiles with prostitutes... nowhere near as bad as what Carolina has gone through...with free agency the way it is, I as a fan have to respect the ownership in order to root for the team...I thought Carolina was better than this...don't tell me I'm gonna be left rooting for Philly now... Didnt Rashard Anderson get a one year ban a year after they drafted him? and didnt Christian Peter wear out his welcome with attitude problems? Its not good for the 'ole image. Ive spent the last 5 days in upstate SC, a place that is football nuts and mostly Panther fans, and I havent heard one thing on the radio abou them(except the national news of the roids thing) and I have seen very little panthers gear on display.....granted its final 4 time and a lot of Tar Heels live around here so that has dominated the talk, but its still been weird....it wasnt like this a few years ago when I lived here....

I wouldn't get down on your team too much. Every NFL team has its issues and its skeletons in the closet. It's unfortunate, but it's part of the modern day NFL.

Don't let those things interfere with your ability to enjoy the game...

you are correct on anderson, and as for peter, he actually admitted he was on 'roids in an article I read last year and that he left the game in part because he was tired of trying to hide it all the time...one of his drug tests came back positive and that he was pregnant(had his exgirlfriend send him some of her tinkle stuff)...thank you so much for reminding me of more of the screw ups from my team... I know other teams have their problems, but name another team who has had to deal with TWO MURDERS...and aren't we getting busted more than most for the 'roids??? not saying we're being targeted, just that maybe we have more users so therefore have more get got...shoot, maybe they should target us more, if thats the case...as for the games, I'm sure I will still enjoy them...I just hope they tame the 'roid rage a'foren ( <------ thats before for those who are not from the south) somebody else gets killed (pun intended)

I spent 2 years working for the Carolina Panthers and I saw nothing but class from the whole orginazation except for one thing, they did draft some thugs....they took some chances on some low charachter guys and it bit them in the ass a bit....still, when a team drafts a low charachter player, they assume they are getting a guy that will be disliked in the locker room or may have a DUI at the worst, not a guy that will kill his girlfriend and baby....its just one of those things....so far they havent been linked to the steroid doctor, as a team, if that happens, then shit will hit the fan....you kind of knew though, with all the things that Sauerbrun was into that he suffered from "Roid Rage"....hes the guy that wanted to fight all Gramaticas at the Pro Bowl and refused to hold for Martin....they had nothing to do with the Lane thing at all, he was a good guy, thats just a random act of violence that could happen to any player....

PS...not that you want to hear this, but they drafted Rashard Anderson with a 1st round draft pick they acquired from the Dolphins the year before....the Dolphins got the previous 2nd round pick and choose Patrick Surtain....just something else to chew on....

Keep your chin up CB. It seems like there's a dark cloud over the franchise, yet they've been to more championship games in their short existence that many other teams have had period. Plus, 6-2 to end one year is usually a good sign for the next year.

John Fox isnt gonna put up with that stuff so you dont need to worry, he doesnt bring in bad chemistry players, team chemistry is probly one of the best in the NFL. Players comming back from injury want to prove that they can play, so they wont get involved in bad things. The death of Sam Mills will motivate the panthers to do their best

Yea John Fox is a dam good coach. I think Carolina has a great team coming back and need to focus on beating Atlanta this year.

they will beat atlanta because they have a new ANTI-VICK wepon in Thomas Davis the speedy linebacker/safety. He is a good tackler and if he lines up at LB he will not let Vick run all over him. Also Peppers has proved that he can chase vick down. Peppers is the fastest defensive lineman when chasing down a play
