What do you guys think? I understand the value of being dedicated to your team but this has gone on long enough. Both of these all stars have been with their teams for the duration of their careers. Neither one's General Manager is doing anything to turn the team into a winning ball club (Mainly Billy King, Ainge is on the right track)I think it's time for both of them to request a trade.
Ofcourse it is tiem for them to leave. They shoudl have left a long time ago, but they decided to be loyal to their teams and have stuck around. But their teams have not doen the same for them, instead they have forgotten about the game and are only worried about theri earnings. I hope their traded before the allstar break, and I hope they both win championships before their carrers are over

Players have to physically move, buy a new house, they have friends in the city, involved with the community, and they could plain be happy with where they are. Players don't leave just based on losing. At least very few players do. Both AI and Pierce are getting the money they deserve, and it would be hard for these superstars to fit on other teams.</span></span>
I think they both should be traded, along with KG... because all three are never winning Championships anytime soon on their current teams (unfortunately)

Thanks for that, I thought you could just teleport from place to place. Anyway Im pretty sure that AI and Pierce want to leave all the loosing behind, and start with a new team that actually care about the team and the players

I also don't really think Ainge is going in the right direction as to winning with Pierce, how can you? He has way too many unproven talents on this team and it will be 3 years before they are all really contributors. By that time, Pierce will be 32 and exiting his prime. He (Ainge) has yet to decide on a direction, Doc Rivers will not be a coach to win a championship, etc. Pierce needs HELP, not the NCAA All-Stars.As for Iverson, I feel worse for him. Pierce at least has some potential with him, Iverson has Iggy, Carney, and that's basically it. Billy King is an idiot, he doesn't seem like he really knows what he's doing. It would be best for the Sixers organization to do these three things:1. Fire Billy King.2. Trade Iverson.3. Start over with a young movement.
Not this topic again. I think it's time for these topics to cease, why are you people so infatuated in every damn talented player getting a shot at the title. I don't care if their on a struggling team, they signed their respective contracts and now they have to live with it. Just because a player is losing, they all of a sudden should be traded to a winning team? I hate that logic because like I said before you could use it for so many other players, but instead you focus on certain individuals. Plus the fact there's two factors involved, the team should not just be forced into trading a star player because their struggling. Screw having guys asking for a trade and having them done. That basically shows teams have zero say. In addition, so called trades don't always end with a ring/success and these same fans will return asking for another trade down the line. With Tmac and Carter, both teams you could say are on the decline and both individuals don't look to be winning a title anytime soon. So when's the next topic about Tmac and Carter need to be traded going to pop up?

If I were a player of their calibre with alot of experience in the league, then I would definately not want to be on a dead end team. Boston obviously has alot of potential. They have a bunch of talented young guys who could blossim into very good players (I.e. Rajon Rondo, Al Jefferson, Gerald Green). But I dont see the 76ers going anywhere. This is AI's 11th season in the League, and he is averaging 30+ ppg. If I were him, I would jump ship for sure. This is the later part of his prime, and he needs to get to the playoffs before his game starts falling down a hill....Paul Pierce on the other hand does not need to switch teams if he doesn't want to. He can just wait it out of if he wants. The Celtics have alot of youth, and in 3 years or so - hey, they'll be challenging the Raps for Atlantic dominance, and they could do some damage in the playoffs...But Iverson needs to get out of town for sure imo.
Allen Iverson loves Philadelphia and won't move until his contract is up...I don't see Paul Pierce going anywhere for a while. I'm tired of fans acting like all these players have to win or else they move. It's hard trading these guys and getting equal value...and many times the players don't like moving but like with what KWebb said many don't like leaving it because it's comfortable.

I think he would surely take less money from the Sixers (and put up with the losing while trying to turn it around) rather than signing with a contender. Same with Pierce. They are just too loyal, and that's a rare quality in a superstar player nowadays, especially when they are stuck in mediocrity (or worse).
I really am not comfortable talking about Pierce moving on. I don't want it to happen, especially not after my boy Antoine left. I couldn't imagine a Celtics team without Paul on it.

it makes me sad to watch Paul Pierce out there...when he came in as a rookie I knew he was THE ONE for us..but sh*tty management and coaches since he joined us has prevented him from doing that..Paul can't lead us to the promised land by himself..nobody can..he needs help..all he has is a bunch of unproven talent..its making me sick..and the talent on our team is being held back for "hustle players" with really big contracts to get minutesthe last time Pierce had help..and it all went away

For Paul Pierce, I really think that he has got to move on. The celtics have alot of young talent, but they arent going to get anywhere with the coaching that they have right now. They dont really have an offensive presence downlow (im not counting gomes) and they dont have any experience. They are also the worst team in the NBA in closing out games and their defense is terrible. Especially at the end of possessions....The Sixers arent really doing anything to improve. They have a selfish PF in Webber, an inconsistent center, and Iguadola who is good but really isnt a great second option. Once Iggy gains more confidence he will be alot better of a player. Both Paul and AI know that the teams they are playing on arent going to win them a championship, so I think its about time to request a trade.

Unless some major changes, I cannot see Allen I or Paul Pierce contending for a the Eastern Conference Finals for the rest of their career on respective teams. We let go of Vince Carter, which hurt us alot, but it did help initiate a rebuilding process the sparks the new era of basketball. Every team goes through one, if teams like Philli and Boston aint going anywhere, the best thing to do is to get a GM, get a good lottery, and get som good Free Agents. It takes 3-5 years, but when you guys are back in the mix of things, I think you will like it alot.
