Hi. I was wondering with all the trades this year, who is the captain is Cleveland Cavaliers? Is it Lebron ? I looked at Cavs website but it didnt say who was captain...I'm guessing its Lebron but he's only a rookie. Can a rookie (as great as Lebron is) be a captain? Does anyone know? Oh and if Lebron ISNT, do you think he should be the cAptain? (Well, he practically is the leader his team..but i'm asking TECHNICALLY..) Thanks yall iOH!! DID I MENTION I HATE THE LAKERS??? ******CAVS ALL DA WAY*******
I would say he is. His play late in ball games would be something that points to that. Bron also helps get the whole team involved, so they feed off of him. The leader without question, he just needed some help with taking care of the basketball, Def Jeff did that, and since he has been here, Cavs have been winners.
It's a toss up between Boozer and LeBron, IMO. Z doesn't seem vocal enough, and no other player does enough to be considered with the big 3.
I consider lebron teh franchise player but he doesnt do the teams dirty work.... the real star for the cavs is boozer.... hes a capable 20/15 guy on any given ngiht but all the attention goes to his teammate lebron.... but the guy who gets the c on his jersey... lebron... hes the franchise player
LeBron does dirty work too, he has had clutch steals and rebounds late in games. I love Boozer, but I don't think I would call him a leader.

well to be right.. BIG Z is the captain.. I think I've seen it from somewhere or heard it on the Radio.. Spaz I like your banner.. D-Miles is a great player..
Boozer leads by example, and is vocal, just not as vocal as LeBron. LeBron is vocal, but much of what I see comes from reactions to calls going against him, or talking jive During crunch time, an important component of leadership, LeBron normally has the ball, but Boozer's been the rock late in games with his clutch free throw shooting. Like I said, it's a wash from where I'm sitting.
Really doesn't matter much! As long as there is good communication out there between the players and our playmakers are frim in their calls I am happy. I thought Z was the captain too, but its pretty much irrelevant!
i think that the cavs have more of a team metality the have players who are all good for something. but LeBron without a doubt is the captain of the team
You guys are all wrong, Silias is team captain this year until LeBron earns his stripes (which he has) til next year.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr_Infante:</div><div class="quote_post">You guys are all wrong, Silias is team captain this year until LeBron earns his stripes (which he has) til next year.</div> Thats quite valid having Silas as team captain. Outside of James, there is no real dominant character. Maybe Williams or McInnis, but they were not aboard until part way through!
And Karma's right, we're discussing something of little value. Every team has a captain, 13 of whom won't as much sniff the playoffs this year.
I think James fits now as a team captain... but no matter how perfectly he fits, SOME guys are going to look at his age and raise their eyebrows... he's very very ripe at 19 but he can't be considered a team captain yet IMO. Wait until next season maybe. Boozer right now fits better to be the captain because he leads by example, plays tough, doesn't back down, hard working, and have a great attitude.
Can't really see a rookie get the captain place in a new team straight away that easy, I think one of those who has been in the club for 1-2 years are, maybe Big Z?
Z is nowhere near captin material fellas. Bron and Boozer top the list, Williams, Battie I would put behind them, but really, what's the big deal?

Yeah, hmm... We're a playoff team now...and we weren't even close with those two on the team. Ricky Avis and Arius Miles (without D) are not winners...and that's what we in Cleveland want....winners.
