I'm saying yes. I think they won't have the hunger they had this year, Shaq will be another year older and another year fatter, Wade would have probably improved his shot but not enough to warrant this team another championship. Miami has an old team if you think about it.So I'm saying they make the second round and get booted or more likely the ECF since the east is so weak.
I say they have a good chance at getting back to the finals, whether or not they win again, I doubt that part.
They'll do ok - but they obviously wont be as good as this years team.I dont kno what they're gonna do once shaq retires

Will they repeat as NBA Champions? Probably not. Dwyane Wade will be hungry, as well Shaquille O'Neal, but the guys like Alonzo Mourning, Gary Payton, Antoine Walker, etc., probably will lose some of that hunger. Zo and GP were playing for rings, and now they got that. If they come back, they will surely want to win, but that same fire and intensity probably won't be there, not to mention another year of miles being added to those legs. The Heat will surely make the playoffs, barring major injuries that span the duration of the season, and will make atleast the second round. I honestly don't see them repeating next year, but keep in mind everything may change depending on what moves they make during the offseason, or whether they make any moves at all. With the roster they have now, I doubt they repeat next season.
They will atleast make the ECF this year imo. And they will be a great team for years to come with DWade imo..
They'll make the playoffs, but the championship is probably out of question. They are more tougher teams in the Eastern Conference that have a better chance of contending for the title. They're just too old.
Wade will get them to the Finals but the West is just too good and Miami won't be as tough as they were this year.
They won't have the same heart as last year... GP and Zo just won a ring, their drive will go down considering they are later in their careers. Shaq is going down every year. They will still be a solid team, but once Shaq retires, they will be in a rebuilding stage again... but I believe Wade can do his damage and help Miami become a threat. We'll just have to see what the future will bring
Wade will keep getting better though which is why they'll continue to be a championship contender and possibly win another championship. It didn't stop many teams before after winning a championship to stop their motivation to win another.
As long as you got Shaq, Dwyane Wade(who only keeps getting better), and Pat Riley the team will always be a championship contender. The Heat really found themself in the playoffs and that play will carry over to the season. The Heat will be even better next year. I smell a repeat.

If he wouldn't have been such a presence in the post Dallas would've driven more instead of shooting all the time which really hurt them. I mean once Shaq retires I think Miami will be out of it unless they can get a quality big man. I mean look at the teams that have won the finals. Almost all of them have had a quality big man on their team.

I really don't think there are any teams in the east that can beat them in the playoffs next year. I think maybe Detroit, and maybe Cleveland, but I don't see anyone else. If they lost their motivation they would retire. I've never heard anyone say they don't care about winning a championship, even if they have 1, or 4 like Shaq.
I think the second round of the East playffs will be very nice. I'm guessing it will be Heat vs. Pistons and Cavs vs. Bulls. Those would be very good 2nd round series'. Hey, maybe even the Nets could contend too. The ECF has like 5 contenders next year. Should be exciting..
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Dallas focesed too much on Shaq in the Finals instead of Dwyane Wade. Big mistake by their part.</div> If we did that, Shaq would have went off. And he takes more high percentage shots downlow, so it was clear that he was the one we had to stop. We still lost but you can't say we should have focused on Wade more because he was hitting hard shots.
I don't think they are done. They are a top team in the East still and could make the Finals but they will not be as good as last year. I could see the Bulls or maybe some other teams giving them a run for their money.
Miami should probably get to the finals next season, but I don't think they will win it when you have Dallas, Spurs, and a few other teams being good in the West. But Chicago, Clevland, and NJ will still give problems to Miami.
