Their are disasters and people dying all the time, in my old church we praid for the end of fighting and such and the fighting never stopped, people never stopped dying. A girl on the news that got rabies last year said that she was praying for a kid in Texas who had it and a week later he died. So I ask you, is praying a waste of time?
How is praying a waste of time?It all comes down to faith,if you pray but you don't believe it's going to happen or just do it to get it over then of course it's not going to work and seriously praying for fighting to stop is like praying for everyone with aids to live forever.It's your religion and you decide what you want to do with it, pray if you want it's optional.
No way that praying is a waste of time. Life without faith is a sad and lonely life, you have to believe that your higher power whoever that may be is listening to you, and I most certainly believe in that.

Not beliving in a faith doesn't mean your sad or anything. I know a lot of sad and depressed Catholics as well as athiests.
It's there religion and if they feel praying is right then let them be.If you feel that your praying and it isn't working then just stop,no ones going to die because some one is praying.
I don't think its a waste of time if thats your religion. Personally I don't believe in god, the idea is crazy to me, but thats my choice. If you follow a religion then you should follow it to the max IMO.
You can't tell. Do you believe in destiny? If so, praying is useless. Do you believe that it was destiny that you would find this site? You may feel like you have a decision but maybe that's just a feeling and you are destined to do something, we may never know.I say it is useless because who is listening? God would be listening to billions of people, wouldn't he/she/it be a busy person/alien?
Praying isnt a waste of time, IMO. I have a strong faith in God, and I'm religous, and so is my family so that's just how I am.
they pray to make themselves feel better. thats fine with me as long as they dont start trying to make me pray too.

Praying isn't a waste of time but don't expect all your prayers to be answered. Maybe God gets sick of people always asking for favors. It's better to be greatful with what you got.
maybe there is no god and ppl created him so they could blame him for all their troubles. like in the odyssey
Is it a possibility that God doesnt even like us? You have to take that into consideration. Are we God's forgotten children? Maybe we are God's pet alligators that got to big and got flushed down the toilet. Ok, i got that from Fight Club.I dotn think its a waste of time. Like MavsFan said, you should be thankful for what you got and shouldnt give God a wish list.
Instead of praying to god asking favors to win the lotto and what not,you should be praying that your healthy and to your family.
I used to think it was but it anit I really like. It relax me and makes me happy not mad not stuff like that.
It's not a waste of time. Praying isn't just for people to feel better and whatnot. It's also to have a better connection with God. God isn't a human. He created the humans. He can get to everyone's prayers.I hate whoever said person/alien about God.
