Now after all these years the English league is getting back to where it belongs in Europe. After the ban after Heysel it as took a few years to adjust to european football again .But just look at us go now. We have 3 teams in the Q/finals champs lge ,teams doing well in the uefa cup. In the last 2 yrs both Liverpool and Arsenal have reached the final and there's a very good chance that another english club will reach this years. If you look at the teams remaining the 3 english teams are in my opinion the best in it with Spurs well placed in the uefa cup. Why do you think that pillock Platini (great player)only wants 3 english teams in the CL, he hates the english and he can now see how powerful our teams are becoming and the last thing he wants is a return to the late 70s early 80s when we dominated europe. In my opinion (yes i am biased) Liverpool are the best equipped to win the CL again this year under the genius that is Rafa. Reason's being amonst others United's luck must run out soon and Chelski are nothing without John Terry who is injured more than Darren Anderton lately. What does everyone think?
It's extremely difficult to determine the strongest league in the world but the EPL is at the very least up in the top 3 along with Serie A and La Liga. I think, all in all, it depends how you define 'the best'. We would win in the financial glamour department hands down, we'd also win in terms of racial tolerance and ethnic variation. We don't really win as the supplier for the most prolific teams in European club tournaments in recent years however, so the praise for the EPL could stop there. In my personal opinion though, I rate the EPL as definately the most exciting league in the world, particularly because of our own domestic tournaments, namely the FA Cup.
I think we are the best league in the world. Firstly, because are teams are better then theres are, maybe not for skill and flair, but at winning games and getting results, we are. And secondly, our league has such a better image. Italian league has got plenty of problems, match fixing, rioting/fighting and the brawl the other night. The spanish league is embrassing to watch when I see it. The amount of diving and play acting that goes on is untrue. I think if referees used the same rules as they do in england, we would have won alot more CL titles than the other top countries.
