In his latest pierce he said Chris paul is the best rookie guard since MJ and the best rookie point guard since BIG O. He probably forgot what Magic did in the nba finals as a rookie.Magic: 18.0ppg, 7.7rpg, 7.3apg, 2.3spg, 53% fg%, 81% ft%, 3.7 topg, 34mpgPaul: 16.5ppg, 5.3rpg, 7.9apg, 2.3spg, 43% fg%, 84.5%ft%, 2.4 topg, 36mpgSo it can't be stats because Magic owns in that department also. Someone with espn insider post the article. I want to know his reasoning.
Ya I saw that as well. Chris Paul is certainly one of the greatest rokie PGs ever, and I am certain he'll be one of the best PGs ever, but not only were his stats worse than Magic, but his team was worse as well. I don't see what happened there
His team is worse than Johnson's, but name off all the Hall of famers on the team. Not bringing Magic's season, but Paul doesnt have teammates as good. And in no way am i saying Paul is better than Magic just beacuse of thier teammates.
Magic's first year I think the only person he had was Kareem. In the Finals, Magic had no one. Kareem was out, and he started at center. He played PG and Center that game, including some time at the off-guard, and led his team to victory with 42 poitns, and a triple double for that matter. That's how great of a rookie Magic was, and to compare him to Chris Paul is downright stupid. Hollinger should be fired
Yeah if you want to count in the success of the teams, Magic had Kareem. But then again, in the finals Kareem went down and Magic really stepped it up. But anyway, Paul has a lot of talent and is going to be a great point guard in this league.

Sorry I was a tad angry at that horrid viewpoint. I take it back, he should simply be puched in the nuts once...or twice
Lol yes, Magic should do it " Never forget my name again" and punch him a couple times. get some common sense knocked into him.

And he was only missing Kareem for one day. That was an amazing performance by Magic, but don't undermind his supporting cast.
