Think about it the real movement has started to remind me when Kiki was in Denver his quick slick moves. When he got Andre Miller as a FA, brought in Eduardo Najara, Ruben Patterson and Reggie Evans...

Kidd for a younger core group of Devin Harris, Diop, Ager, 2 picks and tons of expiring contracts (now possibly KVH expiring)

and we all saw the Swift for Collins deal (that's a cap move Kiki's type of move athleticism for a scrub)

Now the rumors are a potential Mike Miller for Magloire (although he'll have to take a bus seeing he's scared of planes) and Boki Nachbar ?

as well as a a possible Jermaine O'Neil for Wince Harder ?

Are you kidding me? could it be possible that the Nets roster will look like this after the deadline ?

    PG M Willaims, D. Harris
    SG M Miller, Ager ?
    SF R Jefferson S.Swift
    PF J O'Neil, S Williams
    C N.Kristic, Boone

with all that cap space and 2 picks this year plus 2 in 2010 and a seperate 2nd rounder ?
wow. I'm starting to believe the Kiki Hype. I know Thorn is the man there but since Kiki has come on things have been really moving, and for the better IMO. Discuss...

If we were going to trade Vince, I wish it could be for picks and expiring contracts as well, or anything else besides Jermaine O'Neal. That's most likely not going to happen however.

And Marcus would not start over Devin Harris.

true and I think they could squeeze a pick out of Indy involving J.O. at his risk.

When healthy Jermaine O'neal plays at a Garnett, Amare level...add that to RJ, Swat, Boone, Devon, Mike Miller, Stromile and Marcus and good things might happen.

you and I see this alot of people don't, they forget J.O. came back too early and had to carry the offense and D, he played his butt off on 1 leg better than V.C. has this season.

My only concern is how thin we'd be at the two and three spots...other than that I'd be cool with the trade. If it happens cool, if not I won't sweat it. I really want the Mike Miller trade to go down though.

    Would be intriquing to watch:

    PG: Devon Harris, Marcus Williams
    SG: Vince Carter, Mike Millers
    SF: Richard Jefferson, Maurice Ager
    PF: Nenad Krstic, Sean Williams
C: Josh Boone, Stromile Swift, Diop

I'd be cool riding with that til the offseason...

Marcus wouldn't even play over Darrell.

I don't want Jermaine, either. Although I do like the thought of him playing his ass off once he gets to New Jersey (we've seen it before with Kidd and Vince).

I hope we end up with Miller, though. And barring the O'neal rumors, I like what Kiki's been doing with this team. Hell, I love it. It's so much change, so refreshing, and exactly what we need right now. I also hope he trades Jefferson with some good young talent, however unlikely that would be.

2 years shorter of a contract and a better upside when healthy.

But then we would be taking time away from Boone and Swat. Sure, they are inconsistent, but they are definitely improving each day. I strongly believe that we are set with Boone/Swat as our bigs, we just need to work on them more an do something like bringing on our own version of Kareem/Ewing-type of ex-center-turned-special-coach to train them.

no offense but Kareem/Ewing ?...... why not just bring J.O. he plays the starters role and they learn from him, one of the things J.O. did very well in Indy was being a leader and thought young teammates how to play in this league.

If the motivating factor in this trade is the shorter contract, how is Rod Thorn not fired?

J.O. was never a leader in Indy. If anyone, Reggie was the leader there in their successful days, and that was evident after the team fell apart once he left.

I don't trust J.O. to be a good teacher anyways. He just doesn't seem like the teacher type, doesn't seem vocal enough.

Oh, and Vince's contract is 1 year longer with a team option.

because Jermaine O'neal healthy gets you an Eastern Conference Finals shot. You act like he's a bum, I've watched J.O. in the playoffs and down the stretch of a season he can carry a team on his shoulders.
