Mexican fighters have high expectations of themselves and most can’t get rid of that hunger to succeed. They may already be legends but fighting can never stop for them. Erik Morales (49-6, 34 KO’s) believes he can come back and still be a world champion. But after 3 years out the ring and only 1 fight since then against an easy Jose Alfaro, it’s more likely he’s got worse since retiring. If that is the case then it isn’t good news more Morales. He ended his career with 4 straight defeats against Zahir Raheem, Manny Pacquiao twice and David Diaz. Both the Pacquiao fights ended early. His other two defeats were both to Marco Antonio Barrera both on points.
