C&P news.... Valley Ranch, TX - The Dallas Cowboys on Thursday announced the hiring of former Syracuse head coach Paul Pasqualoni as an assistant. Pasqualoni, 55, was the head coach at Syracuse from 1991 until his firing on December 29 of last year. His coaching duties with the Cowboys will be announced at a later time. In 14 years with Syracuse, Pasqualoni posted a record of 107-59-1 and had just one losing season -- a 4-8 mark in 2002. The Orange played in nine bowl games during his tenure, winning six. Pasqualoni finished his tenure as the second-winningest coach in school history, behind only Ben Schwartzwalder, and had one of the top graduation rates in the country.
I should also point out: Scott Pioli was a graduate asst. under Pasqualoni at Syracuse. Mike Woicik, former strength coach of the Cowboys was under Pasqualoni also. He is with the Patriots and Pioli now. Its such a small world in the NFL community.
