QUOTE

CLEVELAND - Maybe the basketball court will become Isiah Thomas' sanctuary, but not this court. Not the one that belongs to LeBron James.
James, with the help of Daniel Gibson, ruined the Knicks' season opener on Friday night by scoring 45 points, 16 of them in the fourth quarter as Cleveland overcame a nine-point deficit to defeat Thomas and the Knicks, 110-106.
James converted 13 of 28 shots and attempted just one fewer free throw (22) than the Knicks, a team that wasted a chance to steal a win against a wounded rival because it couldn't make free throws, get stops or grab rebounds when it mattered.
"Take nothing away from 23 because he was as good as that other 23 that I played against," Thomas said, comparing James to Michael Jordan. "He was good tonight. He was exceptional and he wasn't going to let his team lose."
The Knicks still lack that player who can seize the moment and make an impact in several ways. James' ability to draw defenders and find the open man was the difference in the fourth quarter as he assisted on three of Gibson's three-pointers over a one-minute, 51-second span. Moments later, Larry Hughes set up Gibson for another three that turned the Knicks' 86-83 lead into an eight-point deficit with under five minutes to play.
"That gave them life when he started hitting those shots," Jamal Crawford said. "It's very frustrating."

Source: NY Daily News
Isiah has been jocking LeBron since he came into the league. Isiah already has the red carpet ready for King James when he becomes a free agent again in 2010.
