The New York Islanders took a lead into the third period against the struggling Winnipeg Jets and finished strong for an important win. Frans Nielsen scored the go-ahead goal and Kevin Poulin made 23 saves for his first win of the season and the Islanders defeated the Jets 5-2 on Tuesday.
