Re: Issaquah bus driver appeals firing for "flipping off" President Bush http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/loca...sdriver02e.html Haha, if I were in the bus I would have flipped George the bird as well. :winkglasses:
Re: Issaquah bus driver appeals firing for "flipping off" President Bush Everyone knows freedom to be an ***hole is in the constitution.
Re: Issaquah bus driver appeals firing for "flipping off" President Bush <span style="font-family:Book Antiqua">In my AP US History class, my teacher had the class and myself write about our thoughts about whether or not the firing was proper in our warm-up journals. I disagreed with the firing because bus drivers don't get fired for cussing at students, but now this one is suddenly fired for flipping Bush the bird? Wow... I mean, what she did was horrible, but then again, if she can't express herself in what manner she wants, what's the point of having freedom written all over the Constitution?</span>
Re: Issaquah bus driver appeals firing for "flipping off" President Bush I would've waved at him with my dick. The only one who saw it was George BUTCH anyway, so who cares. He probably made it up just like he made up WMDs.
Re: Issaquah bus driver appeals firing for "flipping off" President Bush Its not really her "right" to flip off the President if she is on someone else's time. If she was clocked out and on her own time, its justicfiable, but she is getting paid by the school district to drive children around. She is supposed to set a good example for them. I know if I was a parent, I'd be quite irate if the bus driver wasnt fired for the actions. She represents the school district with her actions, and what she did wasnt nessessary and quite foolish and childish.

But I respect Bush just I the way I try to respect all people, especially my elders.

I don't know what Constitution you're reading.
Re: Issaquah bus driver appeals firing for "flipping off" President Bush Yeah, just cause we have "freedom" dont mean you literaly have freedom to do anything. If you get caught pissing in public, you will get arrested. Sure, you can make a case saying "its a free country" but thats just stupid. You dont flip off the president. Its pretty much common sense, and the fact she works for schools and drives children makes it worse.
Re: Issaquah bus driver appeals firing for "flipping off" President Bush Well I've been thinking about this a little bit more, and if anything, she broke a law. In ways, she is going against the government and that is against the law. You can't be a threat to the government or take up arms against it. Its somewhat a form of treason. Now the government would never charge her with this because it'd be really hard, and it'd spin the sympathy of the people. Just a thought.

Re: Issaquah bus driver appeals firing for "flipping off" President Bush <span style="font-family:Book Antiqua">Fellas, calm down. I didn't say anything remotely close to "it was her right to flip Bush off". Well, okay... Maybe I did, but I don't mean I agree with it. I think the firing was appropriate, but then again, you can't really say that she it was the right thing to do. Whatever... I don't really care. She's a dumbass for flipping Bush off, anyway. I don't hate Bush; however, at the same time, I don't like the man neither. I don't have many feelings toward him...</span>
Re: Issaquah bus driver appeals firing for "flipping off" President Bush The point of the matter is, it doesn't mean crap if it was President Bush, Lebron James, or Joe Schmoe down the street. She was on duty driving a bus load of little kids around. I would fire her too if she displayed that kind of gesture to anyone in front of kids. It sets a bad example, and it's something bus drivers shouldn't be doing.
