I have noticed on S2 that it aint a "real" thread unless Petey, Denny or Beef drop their 5c worth in. I mean Celtic may have an insanely funny remark, Mike DC may drop in an amazingly well thought out and researched point and Kid Choc could... do what he does (Im a big fan), but I feel without the presence of the 3 mentioned, it hasnt been truly "validated". Plus If you havent had a 2 word post from Jizzy in your thread, it aint worth reading. Period.
Any thoughts? who's opinion carries the most sway here? who has the best accross the sports spectrum knowledge? Jigga has to be up there, so do many others. Im reasonably schooled but dont post often enough and still dont understand the subtleties of NFL, who is the daddy round here?

QUOTE (Kid Chocolate)

This thread sucks, and so do you.

your mama does what?
seriously thats the last thread love I give you, you pantless mofo! hahaha. still a fan!

I am amazed and truly inspired by what I see from Shape and Hunter. It seems to me that between the two of them, they probably start 1/2 the threads on the entire site, and they're all news stories from all over the internet that are even more timely than we're getting from sportsticker. They're good guys, too
I've posted in threads with Shape quite a bit, and he's extremely knowledgable.
Fred, our latest staff addition, is a very knowledgable NFL and NBA guy.
Yesterday, a bunch of Bulls posters somehow found their way to S2, and I've known most of them for years. If they stick around, we're going to have some of the very best Bulls analysis on the whole Internet.

QUOTE (Max)

Not as good as the Nets section though Denny.

That's a given.

Anyone from BBB.net remember Tomboerwinkle (sp) that guy was a walking almanac!

Boerwinkle is/was a good friend of mine. I have huge respect for him, even though he's gone to the dark side.
The Bulls and Nets communities seem to be very different animals. The Nets posters like to talk about every player on every team and a lot of OT subjects among themselves (and not in our OT forum for some reason). The Bulls posters really focus on the Bulls and a lot less OT things.

Dead right man. The Nets board (thanks in Part to carter) has always had a more ADD aproach to posting. Facts and figures seemingly from everywhere. The Bulls were always a more analytical style with a strange amount of focus on X and O style stuff. I have seen some good stuff on the Premier league forums also. No real "homer" culture, just a spade is a spade kinda stuff. Quality reading.

And the Hawks (points at Shake's and o.atl's avies and sigs). Oh, and the Wiz.
Hmm.

QUOTE (BG7 Lavigne)

He said Joakim Noah would be a better offensive player than Ben Gordon, perhaps by the end of the year.

Also I don't know if a thread is validated in a general sense, nor can a thread be demeaned by singular posters. In my opinion the quality of the thread depends only on the thread starter; a good topic will churn the brains of any poster and get activity going. As for the posters, I would prefer to think that any one has the opportunity to say something profound, or the chance to say something stupid. Everyone brings something to the board to some degree. Although there are some people who I find myself agreeing with more often then not, I attribute that less on the person, and just on the chance that we hold many similar beliefs. I would be just as likely to argue with someone as I would support their point. So all in all I do my judgement by the post, not the poster.
Although to answer your final question, mynetsforlife is my daddy.
